(Mini-Session 1 is held on Friday night)

Mini-Session 2 – Using Ancestry.com to Get NARA Records
Speaker:  Sabrina Petersen
Many of the Federal records which are stored  at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) are now available online through Ancestry.com, and more are being added.  These include census, passport, immigration, and military records.  Come hear about what is currently available and how to access them.

Mini-Session 3 – FamilySearch Wikis
Speaker:  David Dilts
The FamilySearch Wiki has 48,883 pages about records, localities, subjects and methods that can help you find your ancestors.  Come find out how it works.  Articles are written by community members like you, working together to create an online-library of information which will eventually enable all members of the community to discover precious details about their families.  Find out how you can post any question about anything related to family history.  Then imagine community members all over the world with their collective knowledge answering these questions.

Mini-Session 4 – Blogging for Beginners
Speaker:  DearMYRTLE (aka Pat Richley-Erickson)
Honor an ancestor, record your personal history, or publish a society newsletter using the free tools and webspace available at Blogger.com. DearMYRTLE demonstrates to how create a blog from the ground up, make postings, add graphics, and look to other genealogy blogs for suggestions.
